Ride767 Terms of Service
Effective date: October 18, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Burjul LLC when you use the Ride767 app at ride767.com. Please read them. They include a binding arbitration agreement and a waiver of class actions (see Governing law and disputes). You agree to them when you tap "I need a ride" or "I'm a driver" on the sign-up screen, and again when you tap "I agree" to a new version. We record which version you agreed to, and when. If you do not agree, do not use Ride767.
The short version
- Ride767 connects passengers with independent Hired Vehicle drivers. We run the app. We do not drive the vehicles, and drivers do not work for us.
- The driver offers the fare, and you choose whether to agree. Your ride is confirmed only when you do. You pay the driver directly, in cash or by MoBanking, in EC$. Ride767 never touches the fare.
- Drivers pay Ride767 for a plan, by card through Stripe, weekly or monthly. It renews by itself until you cancel.
- Drivers must hold a valid licence and insurance, and keep the app open while on duty.
- Be respectful and honest. We can close accounts that put people at risk or misuse the app.
- Ride767 is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call the emergency services.
- You can delete your account at any time at
ride767.com/delete-account. - Disputes go to binding arbitration, not court, unless you opt out within 30 days. See Arbitration.
About these terms
Ride767 is run by Burjul LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of New Jersey, USA, under registration number 0450463128, with its registered address at 75 N Grove St, East Orange, NJ 07017, USA. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that company. "You" means anyone who uses Ride767. A "passenger" books rides. A "driver" takes them. A "Hired Vehicle" is a vehicle registered in Dominica to carry passengers for hire. Its number plate begins with "H".
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. It is a separate notice and is not part of this agreement.
What Ride767 is
Ride767 is a booking and dispatch app. It lets a passenger ask for a ride in a Hired Vehicle, sends that request to independent Hired Vehicle drivers nearby, and helps the two of you find each other.
- We are not a Hired Vehicle operator. We do not own vehicles, and we do not carry passengers.
- Drivers are independent. They are not our employees or agents. Each driver decides whether to accept a ride, and is responsible for the ride itself.
- The ride is an agreement between the passenger and the driver. Ride767 is not a party to it.
- Drivers work as they choose. There are no minimum hours. Drivers may take street hails, use other apps or work with other dispatchers. We do not tell drivers how to drive or which route to take.
Who can use Ride767
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Drivers must drive a Hired Vehicle, and hold every licence the law requires to drive one.
- One account per phone number. Your phone number is your account. Use your own number and keep it working. If you change your number, email support@ride767.com.
- You need a working email address. We ask for it when you sign up.
- You sign in with a code. We send a 6-digit code to your phone on WhatsApp, or to your email. By signing up, you agree to receive these codes. A code works for 10 minutes. You can ask for up to 5 codes an hour.
- Confirm your phone and email within 24 hours of signing up: your phone with a code we send on WhatsApp, and your email with a code we send there. If both are not confirmed 24 hours after you sign up, booking and taking rides are paused until they are. You can still sign in to finish.
- You need a WhatsApp account on your phone number to confirm it. Without one, ride features stay paused.
- A pause does not stop a driver's plan. It keeps renewing until you cancel it.
- Keep your account to yourself. Don't let anyone else use it, and tell us if you think someone has.
- If you lose both your phone number and your email, we may not be able to give you back your account: there are no passwords and no recovery in the app. Email support@ride767.com and we will try to help once we can confirm who you are.
For passengers
Booking a ride
- Pick your pickup and drop-off points on the map, and tap to request the ride. The app does not show a price before you request.
- We send your request to online drivers near your pickup point. If nobody accepts within 45 seconds, we ask drivers in a wider area.
- If no driver has accepted after 90 seconds, the app tells you. You can keep waiting, or cancel and try again. Your request stays open while you wait.
- If no driver accepts within 5 minutes, your request is cancelled, even if you have closed the app. You can book again at any time.
- A driver who accepts your request offers you a fare. Tap to agree, and your ride is confirmed. If you say no, or don't answer within 2 minutes, the offer ends and that driver is not offered your request again. Other drivers can still take it, but only within 5 minutes of when you first requested. After that, your request ends and you can book again.
- Once you agree, you see the driver's name, phone number and where they are on the map until the ride ends.
Cancelling
- You can cancel until your driver arrives. Once the driver has arrived, you cannot cancel in the app.
- There are no cancellation fees.
- If you are not at the pickup point, the driver may close the ride as a "no-show" 5 minutes after arriving.
Be ready and be respectful
- Be at the pickup point you chose, on time.
- Treat your driver and their vehicle with respect.
- Follow the driver's reasonable safety instructions, and wear a seat belt where one is fitted.
Fares
- Ride767 does not set fares. The driver who accepts your request enters the fare, and you see that exact amount before you agree. Ride767 does not suggest or estimate it.
- Your ride is confirmed only when you agree to the fare. Once you agree, neither you nor the driver can change it in the app.
- You pay the driver directly, in cash or by MoBanking, in Eastern Caribbean dollars (EC$). Ride767 does not collect, hold or take a share of the fare.
- If you and your driver disagree about a fare, please settle it between you. You can also tell us about it.
- Drivers must follow any fare the law sets. Where a fare for a trip is set or approved by law, a driver must not offer more than it. Ride767 does not check the amount a driver offers.
For drivers
Getting approved
- Choose "I'm a driver" and send a photo of your face and a photo of your driving licence, and the details of your vehicle (number plate, colour, make and model) with photos of its registration and its insurance. You can add more vehicles later, each with its own registration and insurance.
- An admin compares your face photo with your licence, by eye, and approves or rejects you. An admin also checks each vehicle against its own photos and approves or rejects it. You can take rides once you are approved and have at least one approved vehicle. If your photos are not approved, you can send new ones.
- Passengers see your face photo and the vehicle you are driving (colour, make, model and number plate) once they agree to your fare, until the ride ends, so they can be sure you are their driver.
- Checking photos is all we do. We do not run background checks, and we do not inspect vehicles. Approval does not mean we guarantee anything about you or your vehicle.
- Keep your documents and vehicle details current. If your licence, a vehicle's registration or insurance ends or changes, or a vehicle's plate, colour or other details change, update it in the app. A vehicle you change is checked again before you can drive it; your other approved vehicles stay usable meanwhile. To change your face photo after you are approved, take a new one in the app: our team checks it, you keep working meanwhile, and passengers see your current photo until the new one is approved. To change your licence after you are approved, contact us.
- Drive only an approved vehicle, and only the one you chose in the app. When you go online you say which of your approved vehicles you are driving; that is the vehicle your passenger is told to look for. Do not take a ride in any other vehicle, and do not let anyone else drive passengers using your account.
- By uploading, you confirm your documents are genuine, current and yours, and that your face photo is a recent, true photo of you. You let us store them, show them to our staff to check them, and show your face photo and vehicle details to your passengers as described above.
- We may ask for new photos at any time, and remove approval if a document has ended, is not genuine or is not yours.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- holding a valid driving licence, and any Hired Vehicle licence or permit the law requires;
- keeping your vehicle roadworthy, registered and insured for carrying paying passengers;
- following the road traffic laws;
- your own taxes.
Ride767 does not provide insurance for drivers, passengers or vehicles. Drivers must carry insurance that covers carrying paying passengers.
On duty
- Keep the app open, with the screen on, while you are on duty. Web browsers cannot share your location in the background. If the screen goes off or you switch apps, you may stop getting rides.
- While you are online, your location is shared as the Privacy Policy explains.
- Don't handle your phone while driving. Set it up before you move off, and accept rides and type fares only when you are safely stopped.
- You choose which rides to accept. When you accept, you enter the fare. It is an offer: the ride is confirmed only when the passenger agrees to it, and then neither of you can change it in the app. You can withdraw an offer the passenger has not answered.
- Once the passenger agrees, go to the pickup point promptly.
- If you can't do a ride you accepted, hand it back in the app before you arrive, so another driver can take it. You will not be offered that ride again.
- Carry passengers safely and treat them with respect. Do not refuse or overcharge a passenger unfairly.
- You keep the whole fare. Ride767 takes nothing from it.
Driver subscription
Plans and prices
- To go online, a driver needs an active plan. You pay by card through Stripe.
- Today the plans cost US$2.99 a week or US$9.99 a month, in US dollars. The current price is always shown in the app before you pay.
- Your plan renews automatically at the end of each week or month, and your card is charged each time, until you cancel.
- You can pay before you are approved. Paying does not approve you. If your documents are not approved at our first check, we cancel your plan at once and refund every payment you made before that decision. If we remove your approval later, we cancel your plan at once and refund the unused part of your current period.
- We may change the price. We will tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you.
Cancelling or changing your plan
- Tap "Manage my subscription" in the app. This opens Stripe's page, where you can update your card, switch plans or cancel.
- If you switch plans, Stripe may adjust the charge for the time left on your current plan.
- When you cancel, your plan will not renew. It stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then it ends.
- Refunds. Except as this section says, payments are not refundable once made. We refund:
- an extra charge, if you are charged twice for the same plan period;
- the payments described under Plans and prices, if your documents are not approved or your approval is removed; and
- the unused part of a paid period, if we close your account or stop Ride767 for a reason that is not your fault.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with. To ask, email support@ride767.com. Nothing here limits a refund the law gives you.
- Card disputes. Please contact us before you dispute a payment with your bank. While a dispute is open, we may suspend your plan.
What your plan status means
- Active: you can go online and get rides.
- Payment problem: your last payment didn't go through. You can still go online while Stripe tries your card again, up to 8 times over 2 weeks. Please update your card.
- Suspended: your plan has ended or could not be paid. You cannot go online, but your account and history stay as they are. Choose a plan or update your card, and you can go online again straight away.
- Cancelled: you cancelled your plan. Choose a plan when you want to drive again.
Complimentary plans
- There is no free plan you can choose. Only an admin can give a driver a complimentary plan, for example during our pilot. A complimentary plan never has payment problems and is never suspended for non-payment.
- A complimentary plan may have an end date. If it does, the app shows it. After it ends, from the Monday on or after the end date, you need a paid plan to go online.
- We can end a complimentary plan early. We record the reason.
- If you are given a complimentary plan while you have a card plan, we cancel the card plan so you are not charged twice.
Location, notifications and your privacy
Ride767 needs some permissions on your phone:
- Location. Drivers need it to go online. Passengers can use it to set a pickup point, or move the pin by hand instead.
- Notifications. Optional. They tell drivers about new rides, and tell passengers when a driver offers a fare.
Your browser asks before sharing either one, and you can turn them off at any time in your browser's settings. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, who sees it and how long we keep it.
Rules for everyone
Do not:
- break the law, or use Ride767 to help anyone else break it;
- threaten, harass or discriminate against anyone;
- give false information, or pretend to be someone else;
- use someone else's phone number, email or account;
- book rides you don't mean to take, or accept rides you don't mean to do;
- use the other person's phone number for anything except the ride;
- try to get into parts of Ride767 you are not allowed to, or interfere with how it works;
- copy, scrape or resell the app or its data.
Reports must be honest. Report what happened. Reporting someone to get back at them, or to get a fare or a ride you are not owed, is misuse of the app and can lead to us closing your account.
Suspending or closing accounts
- You can delete your account at any time at
ride767.com/delete-account. You can't do it during a ride: finish or cancel the ride first. Deleting is permanent. We cannot bring your account back. The Privacy Policy explains what is kept afterwards. - We may close your account, or for a driver remove driver approval, if you break these terms, give us false information, if we reasonably believe it is needed to protect someone's safety, or if the law requires it. We act in proportion to what happened.
- Removing driver approval stops you going online at once. Your account stays, and you can send new documents.
- Closing an account deletes it permanently, as if you deleted it yourself. If you are on a ride at the time, the ride is cancelled.
- Where it is safe and lawful, we will tell you why before we act, by email or in the app, and give you a chance to reply, unless there is a risk to someone's safety or the breach is serious.
- When our staff close an account, they must record a reason.
- If we removed your driver approval and you think we got it wrong, email support@ride767.com within 30 days and a different member of staff will review it.
- If a driver's account is closed, we cancel any card plan so it is not charged again.
Other companies' services
Ride767 uses services from other companies. When you use them, their own terms also apply:
- WhatsApp (Meta) delivers sign-in codes. You need your own WhatsApp account to get codes there.
- Stripe takes driver card payments.
- Mapbox provides the map.
- Your web browser and its push service deliver notifications.
We are not responsible for these services. If one of them stops working, parts of Ride767 may stop working too.
Safety and emergencies
- Ride767 is not an emergency service. In an emergency in Dominica, call 999 or 911. You can also call the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force on +1 (767) 266-5100, or the Fire and Ambulance Services on +1 (767) 266-4400.
- Before you get in, check it is your driver. Once you agree to the fare, the app shows your driver's name, face photo and vehicle: its colour, make, model and number plate. Check the car and the plate match, that the driver is the person in the photo, and ask the driver who they are here for. Hired Vehicle plates in Dominica begin with "H". If anything does not match, or the photo does not load, do not get in: call the number the app shows.
- Drivers: say the passenger's name before they get in.
- The Emergency button on the ride screen calls the emergency number (999). It calls the police, fire and ambulance services, not Ride767: we have no one on duty to answer an emergency.
- Share my ride lets a passenger send their driver's first name, the car, its plate, the place names and the time to someone they trust, through their own phone. It is a message, not live tracking.
- Report a problem with a ride, from the ride screen or after it, if something went wrong: unsafe driving, the wrong car or person, harassment, overcharging or anything else. Ride767's team reads every report and may act on it, for example by removing a driver's approval or closing an account. A report is not a call to the police. We do not tell the other person that you reported them.
- The vehicle details are the ones the driver gave and an admin checked against the vehicle's registration photo. Checking photos is all we do (see Getting approved): it does not guarantee the vehicle or the driver.
- If something goes wrong on a ride, report any crime to the police first, then report it in the app or contact us at support@ride767.com. We keep ride records and may share them with the police, as our Privacy Policy explains.
Disclaimers
We work hard to keep Ride767 running well, but we cannot promise:
- that a driver will always be available;
- that the app will always work, especially with poor signal;
- that maps, distances, positions or arrival times will always be exact;
- anything about the fare a driver offers — Ride767 does not set or check fares;
- anything about how a driver drives or how a passenger behaves.
Ride767 is provided as it is, and as available. We may change, pause or stop any part of it. If we stop Ride767 for good, we will tell drivers at least 30 days ahead and refund the unused part of any paid plan.
Limiting our liability
Ride767 is a booking and dispatch app. It puts passengers in touch with independent Hired Vehicle drivers. Ride767 does not carry passengers and is not a party to the ride. Passengers pay their driver directly, by the usual means the two of them agree on, such as cash or MoBanking, and Ride767 does not take or handle that payment.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- our gross negligence or wilful misconduct; or
- anything else the law does not allow us to limit or exclude.
Subject to the paragraph above:
- We are not responsible for the ride itself, including any accident, injury, loss or damage caused by a driver, a passenger or a vehicle. Those claims are against the person responsible and their insurer.
- We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for lost profits, lost earnings or loss of business.
- Our total responsibility to you for all other claims together is limited to US$100 or the total amount you paid directly to Ride767 in the 12 months before the claim arose, whichever is greater. Passengers pay Ride767 nothing, so for a passenger the limit is US$100.
If you cause a claim against us
Drivers: if someone makes a claim against us because of a ride you gave, your breach of these terms or your breach of the law, you will cover our resulting losses and reasonable costs, including reasonable legal fees, except to the extent our own breach or negligence caused them. We will tell you promptly about the claim and let you take part in the defence.
Passengers are responsible for losses they cause us by deliberately breaking these terms or the law, as the law provides.
Governing law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, and US federal law, including the Federal Arbitration Act, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Where the laws of the Commonwealth of Dominica, or of the country where you live, apply to you or to a ride and cannot be set aside by agreement, those laws apply as well.
- Nothing in these terms stops you from reporting a concern to a government agency, a data protection authority or the police.
- If you have a problem, please contact us first at support@ride767.com. We will try to sort it out. If we cannot sort it out within 30 days, either of us may start arbitration as described below.
Arbitration
Please read this carefully. It affects your rights.
- You and we agree to settle disputes by binding arbitration, not in court. This covers any dispute or claim between you and us about Ride767 or these terms, including whether this arbitration agreement applies.
- By agreeing to arbitration, you and we each give up the right to sue in court and to have a judge or jury decide the claim. An arbitrator decides it instead, and the arbitrator's decision is final and binding. It can be enforced in any court with authority to do so.
- Small claims are the exception. Either of us may bring a claim in a small claims court in the US county where you live, or in a magistrate's court in Dominica, instead, as long as the claim qualifies there and stays there.
- Only individual claims. You and we may bring claims against each other only individually, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative action or arbitration. If this paragraph is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim goes to court, not to arbitration.
- How it works. The American Arbitration Association (AAA) runs the arbitration under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, before a single arbitrator. Fees are paid as those rules set out: your share is limited to a small filing fee, and we pay the rest. Hearings can be held by video or phone, so you do not need to travel.
- You can opt out. Within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms, email support@ride767.com with your phone number and a statement that you opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, or if a claim is not arbitrable, it is decided by the state and federal courts located in New Jersey, or, if you live in Dominica and choose to, by the courts of Dominica.
- Changes. A change to this arbitration section does not apply to a claim that arose before it. You may reject a material change by emailing us within 30 days of our notice.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We will post the new version at ride767.com/terms and change the effective date at the top. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect, and ask you to agree to the new version. Until you agree, you cannot book or take rides. If you don't agree, you can delete your account. A change does not apply to a dispute that arose before it. We may make a change sooner if the law or safety requires it, and will tell you as soon as we can.
Messages from us
You agree that we may send you sign-in codes on WhatsApp and by email, ride alerts (if you turn notifications on), and notices about your account, your plan and these terms, in the app or by email. Notices sent this way count as being "in writing". Keep your email address up to date in the app.
What you put into Ride767
- You are responsible for what you enter: your name, your pickup and drop-off points, the fares you offer and the documents you upload. It must be true. Use your real name, with nothing offensive in it.
- You keep ownership of it. You let us store, use and show it only to run Ride767 as these terms and our Privacy Policy describe.
- We may refuse or remove anything that breaks these terms, and close the account that entered it.
The Ride767 app
Burjul LLC owns the Ride767 app, name and logo. We let you use the app for its purpose while you follow these terms. This permission is personal to you.
General
- Transfer. We may transfer this agreement to a company that takes over Ride767, including a company we set up in Dominica, if your rights are not reduced. We will tell you before it happens. You may not transfer your account.
- If part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about Ride767.
